Dr. Lauren Hobstetter, DVM
I was raised in the Bay Area where I grew up with the dream of someday becoming a veterinarian and living in the country with horses in my own backyard. Moving to Angels Camp has allowed me to realize these two lifelong dreams.
I moved to Portland, Oregon for my undergraduate studies at Lewis & Clark College where I graduated with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology. I spent a few more years completing pre-requisites for veterinary school at Portland State University and then attended the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine (Go Beavs!) for my veterinary education. My professional interests include internal medicine and pet hospice care. Being a veterinarian is fulfilling because it gives me the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with pets and their people; I’m fortunate to call this my profession.
My partner and I share our home with 3 dogs, 5 cats, and 2 horses. When I’m not at the vet hospital, you will find me with my animals, horseback riding, spending time with my family, or taking care of our ranch.
